The conference will be held at the Stata Center building at MIT.

32 Vassar St
Cambridge MA 02139

For a detailed map of the area, take a look here.

The events of Monday March 23 - Wednesday March 25 will be held in room 32-123, the large conference room on the first floor. The tutorials will be held in other classrooms; details of these will be shown in the schedule nearer the time.

To get to the Stata Center by subway (underground rail, known as the "T" in Boston), take the Red Line to the Kendall/MIT stop, and then walk west on Main Street a few blocks. Turn left on Vassar St. (There's a traffic light there. If you walk over train tracks, you've gone slightly too far.) The Stata Center is on your left. The whole walk should take about five minutes.

A map of the subway system, and other information will be found here and information about the Kendall/MIT stop here.

The official conference hotel is the Hyatt Regency-Cambridge. We have an allocated block of rooms, for a special low price of $135 nightly. Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, and reservations must be made no later than March 7, 2009. Please call for reservations directly at 617-492-1234. You must refer to the Lisp Conference to receive the $135 room rate, plus local tax, single or double occupancy.

It's very hard to pay less than that in Cambridge, and only at low-end hotels that are not very convenient to MIT.
